b'SUMMER 2022rock band. Playing here at Shannondell, we tend to favor those classic vinyl era bands combined witha few country and folk tunes. Its fun, you know,particularly seeing the joy on the faces of former players who havent strapped on a guitar in like50 years. The talent really surprised me. Strummers founders Doris and Glenn were also former players. Doris played guitar as a teenand I played a little ukulele in high school andcollege, says Glenn. We started the Strummers I knew this would be fun, after another resident suggested it might be fun to have a group that played and sung old campfire but its such a joy to songs. Ukes are fairly easy to learn and portable. get together and play. They also make people smile, Doris adds. The ukulele makes sucha happy sound.
