In 1941, Chief Justice Charles E. Hughes
said, “The Supreme Court is not the
final word because it is perfect, but
it is perfect because it is the final
word.” That statement underscores
the power of our highest court even
today. This year, the court decided a
number of cases on highly controversial
topics, including birthright citizenship,
transgender athletes, election laws
and conversion therapy. Join us as we
look at this judicial body that is
“… perfect because it is the final word.”
