45 Elmwood Park Zoo Bald Eagle Program June 30, 2 p.m. (Bradford movie theater) As our national symbol, the bald eagle serves as a perfect representation of the pride and determination we share as Americans. What better way to celebrate our country’s 250th than meeting a live mascot of this hard-won independence. A team of experts from Elmwood Park Zoo will introduce us to either Noah or Reggie. We’ll learn what makes these majestic birds unique, how conservation saved them, and how the Zoo’s eagles came under their care. This amazing lecture will include a personal photo op following. We thank Laura Soder, Team Lead, and trainers Rebecca Oulton and Elisa Tyler. Washington Crossing the Delaware | Emanuel Leutze | Public Domain
